The Primary Counselor is responsible for case management of clients, ages 18+ to break the cycle of addiction and return to their families and communities from a place of strength. Responsibilities of the Primary Counselor include the completion of intake after pre-assessment, developing individualized services plans and treatment plans, presenting clients in staffing, maintaining contact with appropriate individuals, discharge and referral development and planning. The Primary Counselor will conduct education lectures, client groups and activities. This position is full time and the hours of the position vary and may include weekends and holidays.



oBachelor's degree in human services field or equivalent years working in addiction treatment

oMinimum license required: CAC-AD, LGADC, LCADC, LGPC, LCPC, LGSW, LCSW-C

oCertification in CPR and First Aid

oMust possess valid driver's license and safe driving record


oMinimum of one year experience working in a human service/substance abuse treatment setting

oFamiliarity with 12-step recovery programs


oExperience with an electronic medial record system, Welligent is preferred
